I enabled documents and text files to be posted, and added .m, .rou, .rtn, .glo, and .go suffixes to the list of text files to support sharing MUMPS source code.

For further discussions about which files should and should not be postable, let's use this thread.

It might be helpful to allow .tar, .tar.gz, and .tgz files so that larger projects can be posted.

Just my two cents.

Thanks,

Good idea. I just enabled archive files to be posted.

I would also suggest .gsa (global save archive) , .rsa (routine save archive), and .k or .kid or .kids (Kernel Installation and Distribution System). I seem to recall the IHS (Indian Health Service) uses .00k through .99k for kids files and also uses .00n through .99n for notes about kids files. (I assume you are already accepting .pdf for postscript data files used for documentation, as well as .doc and .txt and .wri, and .pages from all the other wordprocessing applications.

I just added .gsa, .rsa, .ro, .k, .kid, .kids, .wri, and .pages.

.pdf, .doc, and .txt were already there.

I am disappointed that IHS uses that variable-suffix system. I don't feel like manually entering 200 suffixes today. I'll return to that problem later.
