I'm a software developer and system administrator from Las Cruces, New Mexico. I am co-founder of Prefiniti Inc., and owner and founder of Coherent Logic Development LLC.

I've worked in various capacities for companies like Lockheed Martin and General Dynamics doing development in C, C++, Fortran 77, x86 and 6502 assembly language, VB.net, COBOL, Coldfusion, Perl, VAX MACRO, and more.

I've worked in Windows, OS/2, Solaris, SCO UNIX, AIX, VAX/VMS, v7 UNIX, Linux, MacOS, AmigaOS, Cray UNICOS, MVS, 2.11BSD, 4.3BSD, and VM/ESA.

I came to MUMPS this year, and now I'm wondering how I ever lived without it. VistA FileMan is the swiss army knife I've been looking for for many years. I'm interested in promoting the wider adoption of VistA and MUMPS inside and outside the medical field, as well as integration and modernization of the language and associated technologies.

Outside of computers, I'm interested in playing music, land survey, cooking, writing, and various other stuff. I have a wonderful girlfriend and 3 cats. I look forward to helping the MUMPS community where I can.

For those who haven't been through all the threads yet, John is part of the technical team who launched Mumpster and the new MUMPS Users' Group site (under Ray Newman's mumps.org domain name, which he generously donated to the new MUG). John's a pleasure to work with.
