I'm an old timer in mumps programming, cutting my teeth on PDP's in the early 80's. Experienced in all flavors of mumps over the years, I still work everyday using DSM-11, Cache, GTM, and sometimes even DTM on an older system. My background is in the LIS world, and was at one time a licensed lab tech. Now it's mostly LIS support for various labs.

I've heard the death knell of mumps sounded many times, but as we all know it is still alive and kicking.

Hi Mike!

Glad you could join us here. Carrying things together is always easier than alone.

Do you have any old PDP-11 documentation?
I found a PDP-11 emulator and an old image of DSM-11, but don't know how to set up I/O, as it asks for a block of memory for the Terminals, I don't know what answer to give. This isn't in the regular pre-printed docs, this would be something the DEC Field engineer would have told you when you first installed the system.

Hoping,
David

Hm, since my company does both MUMPS and legacy DEC virtualization I am looking for DSM-11 image quite long time. I just wanted to play with DSM-11... I never had an opportunity to see it because I am too young to remember at least the end of DEC era :-(

Is there any chance to get a copy of your DSM-11 kits?

I think we have some paper documentation for DSM-11 and DSM-VAX. I have it also in scanned form somewhere, but not able to find it at the moment.
