Hi All, I'm new to MUMPS and VistA, and looking forward to learn from all of you. I'm a Technical Leader at Kitware Inc., http://www.kitware.com/company/team/ibanez.html and have been working on Open Source projects for about 12 years, most of it contributing to the Insight Toolkit (ITK)[http://www.itk.org]. http://public.kitware.com/pub/itk/gitst ... thors.html I have been teaching an Open Source Software Practices course at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute for four years: http://public.kitware.com/OpenSourceSof ... /Main_Page and promoting the teaching of open source in higher education: http://www.oscon.com/oscon2011/profile/76540 http://opensource.com/education/10/9/te ... version-40 I'm a member of the team that will be working on the process of creating an Open Source environment for VistA on support of the Custodial Agent. At this point our team is working hard on preparing basic infrastructure and doing a lot of planning. We certainly can use all the wisdom and advice that MUMPSTERS are willing to share. We are looking forward to work with everyone interested in helping build and Open Source platform for VistA. Luis |

Welcome indeed. My fondest hope is that the project will cast a wide net and so incorporate viewpoints from non-VA users and promoters of VistA. |
