Please consider porting your reference implementation to OS X. There are many of us that use OS X as our primary platform. Being forced to run a VM or to use a separate computer to run MUMPS is a major pain in the neck and, frankly, a significant hinderance to finding people who can conveniently participate in the new MDC. More importantly, not porting MUMPS V1 to OS X would limit the number of people who actually use MUMPS on a regular basis, thus hindering the development of the standard.

Hi,

The MAIN platform for MV1 is OSX and has been for some time. I use OSX exclusively.

Wow. I didn't know that, Ray. I can see we're going to have a lot to learn about MV1 in the weeks and months ahead.

As far as the distributions, I'll talk it over with Larry Landis. Wherever we keep the distributions, we should expose links to them at mv1.mumps.org as well to make finding them as easy as possible.

Hi guys, Mr. Ray

There are plans to implement on MUMPS V1 something like a MSM BIJ
(Before image journal) file or DTM SAFE file to rollback the database to a
point in time where structural integrity is known to exist due to hardware
or other failure?

Cheers.
