Began Programming in MUMPS: 01 Apr 2010
This is an open source MUMPS implementation from the late '90s. I'm not sure who began the work on it, but I know that LD Landis and Steve Zeck were heavy contributors.

I have updated the sources so that they will compile with a modern toolchain and run on a modern Linux (at least my machine) and include the updated sources for fun.

You will get errors in the make process, especially if you don't have uuencode/uudecode (part of the "sharutils" package in Ubuntu). But, I was able to get this much output:

Code:
Welcome to FreeM Version 0.1.4
qa>S ^NAME="JOHN"

qa>W "Hello, ",^NAME,"!",!
Hello, JOHN!

qa>H
