I would like to call attention to the announcement of MiniM v 1.4 which showed up today on the comp.lang.mumps newsgroup. The web site for this relatively new implementation is at: www.minimdb.com. From the "Overview" page:
Quote:
MiniM Database is MUMPS-based client/server database management system. MiniM fully complements ANSI-1995 X.11 MUMPS standard and current ISO MUMPS standard. MiniM Database Server implements transactions and some language extensions.

MiniM is built to run on Win32 NT-based OS.

MiniM has several language extensions -- some of them are Cache-compatible. One interesting new extension allows passing an arbitrary number of arguments to a function or procedure. Another is a regular expression function.

Hopefully some folks will test drive this new version and report back here (and on comp.lang.mumps) with their findings. The license is not free. It appears to be about $48/seat. It will run without a license but has a 3-job max and otherwise is fully functional.
